Cybersecurity Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will play a critical role in protecting our organization’s systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security measures, conduct risk assessments, and develop strategies to mitigate potential security vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard the organization’s digital assets.
– Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify security weaknesses and recommend remediation measures.
– Monitor and analyze security logs, incidents, and events to detect and respond to potential security breaches.
– Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, and access controls.
– Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices to ensure the organization’s security posture.
– Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement secure network architectures and configurations.
– Conduct security awareness training for employees and promote a culture of security throughout the organization.
– Investigate and respond to security incidents, including forensic analysis, incident containment, and recovery.
– Participate in incident response planning and ensure effective incident response procedures are in place.
– Maintain documentation of cybersecurity processes, procedures, and incident response activities.
– Stay informed about regulatory requirements related to data protection and privacy, and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
– Proven experience in cybersecurity roles, including risk assessments, incident response, and vulnerability management.
– Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
– Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
– Experience with network security, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and secure configurations.
– Knowledge of encryption technologies, secure coding practices, and cloud security principles.
– Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI DSS.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and mitigate security risks.
– Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
– Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus.
– Continuous learning mindset and eagerness to stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.
