Network Engineer & System Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer & System Administrator to join our team. As a Network Engineer & System Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization’s network infrastructure and systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of our network and systems to support our business operations.

Responsibilities:

– Design, implement, and manage our organization’s network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
– Monitor and maintain network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network configurations for maximum efficiency.
– Implement and enforce network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network solutions that meet business requirements.
– Conduct regular network capacity planning to anticipate future growth and ensure scalability.
– Administer and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, and access points.
– Perform system administration tasks, including server installation, configuration, and maintenance.
– Ensure system and network availability, reliability, and disaster recovery preparedness.
– Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights to systems and network resources.
– Monitor and analyze system performance, conduct system upgrades, and implement patches and security updates.
– Document network and system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
– Stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in network engineering and system administration.

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
– Proven experience as a Network Engineer and System Administrator, managing complex network infrastructure and systems.
– Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and network security principles.
– Knowledge of server administration, virtualization, and cloud computing technologies.
– Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
– Familiarity with network and system backup and recovery strategies.
– Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve network and system issues.
– Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
